How does online reading tutoring work?

I provide online reading tutoring, which involves one-on-one instruction through a video conferencing platform like Zoom. 

The student and I can see and hear each other during the session through our respective cameras and microphones. 

We can also share screens, documents, and other materials to facilitate learning.

First, I assess the student's reading level and identify areas where they need support (gaps). 

Then, I develop a personalized lesson plan that targets the student's specific needs and learning style. 

The lesson plan may include reading exercises, comprehension strategies, vocabulary building, and more.

Throughout the session, I provide feedback, guidance, and support to help the student develop their reading skills. 

If parents request it, I will assign homework or recommend additional reading material to supplement the online sessions.

Overall, online reading tutoring can be an effective way for students to receive personalized instruction from an experienced tutor, regardless of location. 

With the convenience of online video conferencing, students can access quality reading instruction from the comfort of their own home.
